The Appeal
The last of Abingdon's 'T' Series before the advent of the thoroughly modern MGA, the TF marked the end of an era for MG which had begun back in 1936 with the TA. It was to be the final outing for the XPAG engine and the final separate chassis MG. It combines the charm of pre-war styling with several notable post-war advancements, not dissimilar to Malvern's Morgan.
We're delighted to offer this superb 1954 example, an original RHD UK car that comes with an extensive service and restoration history dating back to 1958. The current owner has ensured the car remains in top mechanical condition, with regular servicing by classic MG specialists. Notably, the cylinder head has been converted to run on unleaded fuel, and a recent service in August 2023 included a front suspension overhaul.
The MG presents beautifully throughout and has been used regularly by the vendor for short journeys. They also embarked upon a trip to Le Mans Classic on one occasion, totalling around 1,000 miles without encountering any issues.
