The Appeal
The TF introduced a wider, lower and more modern take on the classic post-war MG sports car. And if you’re a fan of Morgan, it is one you’ll recognise.
The enduring appeal of that shape - which Morgan, of course, still makes today - explains why good TFs are so popular with enthusiasts. Buying one also gives you access to one of the most vibrant club scenes in the UK - and a superb parts supply.
This lovely mid-green ‘54 is reported by the seller to have covered just 25,411 miles from new. It is in lovely condition, the paintwork restored some years ago, mated to a tan leather cabin and matching roof. The all-important chassis is reported to be in good order too.
The car has been sparingly used and extensively maintained in recent years. There is a long list of engine, suspension, fuelling, cooling and either work undertaken within the last 3,000 miles. It was serviced less than 1,000 miles ago.
The vendor tells us that it wants for nothing and is ready to enjoy. And looking at it, we’re sure you will.
The vendor tells us:
“To my knowledge no work needs to be done. It can be driven and enjoyed immediately.
“It drives very well and is an absolute pleasure. The gears change smoothly and the steering is precise, taking into account 70 year old technology!
“The car is very presentable and much admired wherever it goes. It performs very well, easy to drive and a joy at all times. It has full weather equipment, all in good condition.”
