The Appeal
Spanning across an incredible 14 generations and dating all the way back to 1948, the Ford F-Series is about as iconic as it gets. Incredibly popular with commuters, farmers and tradesfolk across the United States, these adored trucks remain incredibly popular to this day, with the older generations garnering serious admiration and attention amongst collectors.
Chief amongst the most collectable Fords on the planet sits this fantastic second-generation F-100, known for drastic improvements over its predecessor, and as an icon for hot-rod culture. This 1954 F-100 spent the majority of its life on home turf, enjoying the American roads until 2008, but not before receiving a thorough restoration courtesy of a previous keeper.
Believed to have been carried out around 2005, the restoration process was rather thorough, consisting of an exterior overhaul, much welcomed interior re-trimming and plenty of mechanical upgrades. As a beautiful merger between the top American marques, this F-100 boasts the likes of 350 Chevy small-block, Chevy Nova front clip, Chevy rear differential, Chevy power steering, and a rebuilt heavy-duty transmission.
Although some years have passed since its restoration, this nearly 70-year-old truck stands as a truly handsome showcase of vintage styling, excellent craftsmanship and true American motoring. Offered in excellent mechanical health with only a characterful patina to note, this 1954 Ford F-100 would no doubt make the perfect addition to any quirky collection, and will never fail to turn heads wherever you venture.
