The Appeal
Often regarded as one of the last of the 'Real Rileys', the RMF kept all of the identifiable features that made its manufacturer so iconic. The pre-war styling was still proudly intact, offering a distinctive milieu that was unmistakably British, while the much-loved 2.5-Litre Riley 'Big Four' still sat comfortably in its snout. As the fifties struck, the Abingdon works also began turning out a range of striking colour schemes.
This example, for instance, carries a very attractive Metallic Bronze; one of the final colours added to their palette. A late-production example, it effectively offers the most refined experience of the 'Real Rileys', and now marks quite the charming, evocative classic.
Returned to the road in 2006 following a restoration, this car has been beautifully kept and very clearly cherished. It's garnered a reputation in RM Club circles and has preciously been displaced at the legendary NEC car show. This is a classic with plenty going for it!
