THE APPEAL

At the end of World War II, in September 1946, the BSA A7 was launched, providing the great demand for affordable transport with a simplistic design with good performance. The 500cc produced 26bhp and was capable of 85mph top speed. In 1949 with a revised engine, the A7 became known as the Star Twin, which would later receive an upgrade in 1954 to the more common Shooting Star.
This 1953 example had spent its first 60+ years with the original owner in Europe before it was sold to a UK buyer who partially restored it. Two years ago, it made its way to our vendor, who has finished the restoration and complete mechanical rebuild of the original engine and gearbox to create a stunning example of this British BSA classic.
