The Appeal
For those with the urge and the money to indulge the effervescence of 1950s post-war Britain there was Park Ward. The firm built just 167 coupes and convertibles using Bentley’s new MkVI chassis, all of them offering sumptuous, flowing lines in keeping with the freer times.
With so few built, and those that remain beloved of collectors, opportunities to buy a MkVI Park Ward are infrequent. Particularly projects like this one, which enables the buyer to complete what has already begun in the exact style and specification they wish.
The car was first registered in 1952 so is equipped with the later 4.6L straight six engine. Much of the restoration work has already been done, including bodywork, chromework and interior and there is a huge array of parts included to enable completion.
The car is only for sale due to a change of plans. As such it represents an interesting prospect for collectors of these fine combinations of Bentley engineering and coachbuilt class.
