The Appeal
It is perhaps somewhat of a cliché to call a classic car “a piece of history”, but we feel compelled to make an exception in the case of this 1942 Willys Jeep. Understood to have served in France and Germany during the later stages of the Second World War, this Jeep is a veteran that deserves the utmost respect.
Offered in superb overall condition and sporting its period specifications, livery and tools, this Jeep looks a fantastic example, fit to grace any collection or memorial event. It comes with a wealth of paperwork spanning back to 2005, including an auction catalogue from a previous sale along with a number of MOT certificates and parts/servicing invoices. It also comes with some older documentation, namely the War Department ‘Key Card’ information, which may provide an insight into its service life. There’s even a period photograph.

The last owner acquired the Jeep in 2017 and they kept it in a dry garage during their tenure. We’re informed that the body tub was resprayed in 2011, while the seat cushions and canvas tilt were replaced in 2018.
Upgraded to 12v electrics and recently fitted with fresh spark plugs, this Jeep is ready for a new custodian.
