Highlights
- Rare pre-war American convertible
- 3.6-Litre Flathead V8 powerplant with 3-speed manual transmission
- Resprayed in light blue a while ago, accented with whitewalls and a white soft top
- Completely retrimmed in an attractive brown leather
The Appeal
When the '40s dawned, Ford could see the world was on the brink of uncertainty and that '41 would probably be their last model year for a while. As a result, they put a lot of cash into the new model to keep it as future-proof as they could. The resulting model was quite the impressive, curvy and wide-bodied vehicle, with distinctive integrated fenders - and their loyal Flathead V8 powerplant still providing all of the grunt.
This example features a fine blue livery with a newly retrimmed brown leather cabin. It's never been restored, but has had a fresh coat of paint, which we're sure you'll agree has really brought out the car's distinctive character.
The specific 1941 model year is relatively scarce, owing to the infamous '41 labour strike and, of course, the ensuing war - and as a result is quite the desirable classic today, with the Flathead V8 still capable more than 80 years later.
