Highlights
- Very rare example of the Frazer Nash BMW 326
- Starts, runs and drives
- Fitted with the Bristol 85A engine
The Appeal
The BMW 326 represented a major step forward for the Bavarian marque, with then cutting edge features and a modern roomy body the 326 saw success on the continent. However although Frazer Nash heavily promoted the 326, it looks like only around 60 examples were sold up to 1939. Which means this 326 presents a rare opportunity to acquire one of these superb cars that are seldom seen in their semi-native Frazer Nash BMW configuration.
This car has featured in Classic and Sportscar magazine as well as having an extensively researched history into previous owners and modifications provided with the car. It’s been equipped with the rather fitting Bristol 85A engine (the Bristol 400 uses the 326 chassis) that was installed at the Bristol factory.
Whilst the current owner doesn’t use the car, it's regularly started and moved to ensure everything works as it should. As such it’s a perfect candidate for recommissioning and enjoying on the road where it’s sure to garner the attention of any enthusiast.

Summary
Whilst some of the cutting edge technology and superb styling of the body made the 326 quite a success in Europe only a few made it to Britain in the form of the Frazer Nash BMW 326.
A rare chance to own one of the superb cars that could either be restored or kept as it is and used with only recommissioning required, it offers a fantastic opportunity to any collector who appreciates true vintage style.
