1935 Austin A10 Bisto Van

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Unique & Rare Austin Van
  • Low Ownership
  • Past Extensive Restoration

THE APPEAL

Unique and alluring, this Austin Van is a charming reminder of a superb automotive era, that saw elegant classic styling paired with simplistic, affordable mechanics. This 88-year-old antique is a rare sight in today's world, with many pre-war cars being lost to time and the elements.
Body-off restoration in previous ownership and cared for, collector owner, current ownership, has resulted in a fine example of the pre-war vehicle. This Bisto Van is unique and one of very few Austin Vans available for purchase. It has covered less than 50 miles in its current ownership, where it has been kept as part of a larger collection.
Safe to say, opportunities to own beautifully cherished pre-war vehicles like this do not come around often.

THE INTERIOR

The attraction of these pre-war cars is in part due to their simplistic nature and vintage styling, the interior of this Austin contains character with the benefit of some previous reconditioning, with the seats being retrimmed at some point to black vinyl.

Trims, gauges and switches are all present and operational, with the smallest signs of age starting to appear. As displayed in the passenger dash area, some patina is starting to appear on painted surfaces but otherwise, the car is in good appearance.

THE EXTERIOR

The vintage and elegant style of pre-war vehicles is delightful viewing. This Bisto Van is a handsome vehicle, finished in a good colour choice and tasteful branding. Its condition is very good, with only the smallest blemishes present. The underside of the car looks just as cared for as the body, which is no surprise considering the little use the car has seen over the last few years.

Overall, an attractive vehicle and a fine example of pre-war motoring

SUMMARY

A pre-war charmer, this van has been previously restored to a tasteful and pleasant standard and has been sat, and stored as part of a collection over the last few years. It's a rare vehicle, as a van variant and especially in its current condition. It's a wonderful opportunity and would make a great addition to any collection or enthusiast's garage.
