1927 Citroën B14 Boulangere

Highlights

  • A less frequently seen commercial variant of the much admired Type B14
  • Richly patinated - as befits a vehicle approaching its hundredth birthday
  • Remarkably original, complete and well preserved
  • Excellent potential as a refurbishment project, offered for sale after a period of dry storage

The appeal

The Type B14 was introduced in October 1926 at the Paris Motor Show. An entirely new platform for Citroën, it boasted an ultra-light chassis that was used as the basis for several body styles, including a range of utility vehicles.

Here we have a very original bakery van dating from 1927. It has a rich patina to the paintwork although the wooden rear body remains in very good condition. Having been in storage since 2017, it now requires a mechanical overhaul. For those looking for a vintage Citroën utility vehicle, this is an excellent opportunity.

  • Original straight bodywork apparently free of any noticeable corrosion
  • Slight tarnish on chrome parts
  • The interior has already undergone some refurbishment work
  • Some signs of age-related wear on controls and upholstery
  • Aluminium sill plate added to running boards
  • The chassis looks very sound, with no apparent problems

The seller informs us that it will require some recommissioning work, having not been driven since before entering storage in 2017
