The Appeal
The Bullnosed Cowley is very much a symbol of Morris's sheer domination in this era of motoring. Through using cheaper American parts, the company was setting itself as an international operation before most British car builders had got their head around mass production.
The Cowley was such a hit that when the original engine stopped being manufactured, Morris simply went to Hotchkiss to tell them to replicate it. This didn't only secure production, though - it later led to Hotchkiss being taken under the Morris umbrella, to boot. In many ways, it's this that laid the groundwork for the future for the almost all-encompassing BMC.
Put simply, the Cowley is amongst one of the most significant cars - by hook or by crook - of the '20s, and is today a very desirable, eye-catching classic. This particular example has been kept in dry storage for the past twenty years, and is now ready and waiting for its next chapter.
