Mercedes-Benz 230 CE 2 owners SOLD (1982) C170295 | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | | Welcome to my advertisement for a lovely 5 speed manual Mercedes 230ce. After 2 wonderful years of ownership I am letting her go as I have a company car coming. I brought her with 75,000 miles genuine miles on the clock & every aspect about her reflected this.
This is a very rare chance to acquire a 2 owner Mercedes-Benz 230 CE (1 documented owner). The car was originally ordered and picked up directly from the factory itself in September 1982, then driven back to Jersey. The car was ordered as a present to the original owner himself when he retired, he treated the car to some nice options such as metallic paint, electric windows and sunroof, air conditioning, alloy wheels, sump guard and a Becker Europe radio/stereo cassette player(which is still present and correct)..
Since then I have added another 20,000 faultless miles, I replaced the rear window motor so she now has 4 fully retracting windows.
I like the 5 speed, it returns 35mpg (an automatic 280ce will return about half that I believe) & makes it really quite fun, especially in coupe form.
It is a genuine car with a majority Mercedes-Benz Jacksons service history, the rest is Jersey’s highly regarded specialist. It has a nice specification, has all its original books and interesting bits and pieces from when it was new. It has had one previous owner before myself. It is very original & I have not tried to disguise any of her faults which are basically a few paint blisters, some small paint chips, the rear valance has started to rust the air conditioning needs re-gassing (I did have this checked & was quoted £65 but as I liked to drive her with all the windows down when the weather allows so I never carried the work out).

* Jersey export certificate, customs 386 from showing all taxes paid, V55/5 form
* 7 Month MOT certificate..
The car would need to be UK mainland registered.
