Having been looking for one of these for the last few years this car has only just been bought with every intention of enjoying it for the next couple of years. But as with the best laid plans, a recent unexpected personal blow has meant a much earlier sale than anticipated.
This car has been well looked after and indeed only has one prior owner to myself. Its also been dry stored under dust cover for the last few months and was a reluctant sale. Its been extensively reconditioned with a lovely new red leather interior setting off the extreme pink paintwork just right. It has been resprayed, but as a ‘useable’ classic, it wouldn’t look this good after all these years if it hadn’t.
And this is the epitome of 60's cadilacs in a single package; Large land yacht dimensions coupled set off with the classic pink finish. Any other color on this car is simply wrong!
Chrome is also good as can be seen from the pics. It only has 27k on the clock which ive been told could well be original, although id guess more likely once around the clock. Having said that, it drives as if it could be original.
I drove it back on buying it to give it a realistic test run over nearly 200 miles and suffered no problems whatsoever. At motorway speeds the car ran smooth and with lovely changes both up and down thru the gears.
Mechanically, it all seems excellent with no obvious nor noticeable problems. Roof is almost a new fitting which works fine and includes a ‘boot’ for cover when it is down but this seems to have shrunk slightly as I cant get it to fit. Having said that I only tried to fit it the once on driving the car home.
Brakes are sound and all lights/ electrics seem to be in working order. As youd expect with a Cadillac, its PAS, PAB and windows. It also has optional cruise control but i havent tried this option as i like to drive the car myself.
Good set of four whiteband tyres with decent tread on all.
Interior wise is very tidy with only a few minor cosmetics needed. The door moldings around the handles (not the panels) are slightly cracked on both sides and would benefit from replacing, but are not ugly to the extreme of being unacceptable. The seat electrics seem to be faulty off, but this should be an easy rewire which I may again have done by the end of the month time permitting. Ive priced the car to sell with these minor issues considered. A few thousand pounds more could be put on the price if I had the time to do these jobs myself, but circumstances have conspired to make that rather difficult.
Its MOTd til Oct and having only covered a few hundred miles since the last MOT, I wouldn’t expect any shocking surprises. It’s a lovely drive and its with great regret that having had an extreme change of fortune, keeping the car would not make any sense and so its now for sale allowing someone else the summer to enjoy some unhindered top down cruising.
Its a drive away vehicle, but id be happy to deliver for appropriate cost if that was required.

comes with a minor amount of interesting original paperwork. and ill include a decent dust cover which cost over £100.
