Description
THE RECHROMED BUMPER IS NOW FITTED WITH THE OVERIDERS My hobby is restoring classic cars to as high a standard as I can. I bought this with an 11 month MOT , but the general condition of the body and interior was sad. I started by removing all of the paint and was surprised how solid generally the body was. I replaced the front o/ s wing as it had been patched several times and was full of filler. The drivers sill was replaced and I fitted a new section to the rear o/ s sill . The body was then given two coats of etch primer folloed by 3 --4 coats of u/ c and finally the top coats. The interior was removed completely. The seats were given to a car upholstery company, along with 3 full hides of leather. Result expensive but superb. New carpets were made , the door cards redyed to match the seats, new headlining fitted, and the woodwork restored. Front and rear bumper and boot lid chromework rechromed. The carb, and the main fuel pump were rebuilt. Tyres are excellent, spare unused. Mechanics excellent The car is showing only 62000mls, which is borne out by the past motcertificates. The car will be ready shortly once the bumpers are returned from the chromers, but anyone seriously interested in viewing the car now, is welcome.
