UpDate 2. 9th march. Car went in for mot and only needed back brakes sorted and emissions sorted. New rear cylinders fitted and loose tappets adjusted. Car now has mot till April 2011. First to make offer close to asking price will also get 6 months tax.

For sale is my MG that I have only owned for a year selling to make way for new car. I bought the car from an MG specialist and since then have fitted a reconditioned unleaded engine, a new clutch, a new 60W alternator and the hardtop seen in the photographs. Last April a new soft-top was fitted along with new front shock absorbers.
Since 2007 the following work has also been carried out
Carbs stripped, cleaned and new needles and seats (£494 bill)
Electronic ignition fitted (£305 bill)
new rear springs fitted along with new propshaft and castle rails renewed(£804 bill)
new alloy wheels
leather interior
The car starts first time and runs well. The bodywork is in good condition although the paintwork is let down in places with some micro blisters, which I was told is due to water in the paint when resprayed around 9 years ago. A new MOT will be put on the car before sale.
The car is advertised elsewhere.
Not desperate to sell, I will consider sensible offers only. Hard-top alone I could easily sell for £250-£300. Let me know if you want photos of car with soft-top up.
