Description
A rubber bumper late production MGB GT professionally converted to chrome bumpers and grille. The car is entirely rust free and has all the benefits of the later factory modifications with the classic appearance of earlier MGB's.
The body shell is entirely rust free with all new inner and outer sills recently replaced. The underside has been steam cleaned, re-painted and freshly undersealed. All internal body areas and chassis have been heavily wax-oiled. The interior is completely re-trimmed in cream leather with red piping, all new interior matching panels and high quality moulded carpets. Matched burr walnut trim is fitted to dashboard, radio console and centre console. Additional interior upgrades include Motolita woodrim wheel, moulded rubber floor mats, window winders, door warning and footwell lights. A new radio/ CD player and speakers have been fitted but the original radio and tape player are included in the comprehensive spares package with the car. A re-built folding sunroof, new interior roof lining and sun visors are also fitted.
All suspension, bushes and shackles have been re-newed to the lower chrome bumper height, together with new uprated front discs and pads, re-built calipers and new brake shoes and cylinders on the rear. The car has the benefit of all new hubs, wheel bearings and chrome wire wheels fitted with new radial tyres and three eared knock-off spinners.
The car has a new radiator and hoses, goldseal engine with new water pump, (50psi hot at tickover, 70psi at normal engine running speeds), new tubular exhaust manifold and SS exhaust system. SU carbs have been completely re-built and re-jetted and a re-conditioned distributor with electronic ignition is fitted. The clutch, gearbox and overdrive all work perfectly and the prop shaft and back axle have been re-built. A new petrol tank and sender have been fitted as part of the improvement package.
The car will be sold with a large spare parts stock including 4 x rebuilt stove enamelled wire wheels with brand new tyres and a comprehensive library of service and history books and manuals.
